I shared a piece of my soul that cannot be returned,
For what is not lost cannot be found,
For it is yours.
As the words echo across the timeless sands,
Waiting to find your soul to be returned to me,
I shall wait for eternity,
For it is yours.
Though the oceans may call,
And the wind may howl across the plains,
I pray it brings you into a new season,
For it is yours.
Though the darkness may creep in,
And the mountains quake with fear,
You will be brave,
For it is yours.
Though you may see my face in every song,
You may hear my voice in your dreams,
Do not feel sad,
For it is yours.
Though these moments shall pass,
Though time will not wait,
I will echo my love,
For it is yours.
Now take my hand,
Come away with my soul,
Forever is a long time,
For it will always be yours.

Oh, how the soul loves in many ways,
The depth of the love endless,
Relentless for days.
The soul wanders until its body is grey and old,
It wonders of love, beauty and truth,
The memories untold.
For there are secrets that many do not know,
Those that the heart and soul carries,
The true depth of their woe.
For the hunger and delight of love at first sight,
For the endless laughing at your hearts delight.
For that which the world so utterly yearns,
It’s the power of true love,
For that the soul burns.

I thought I saw you today,
Across the vast blue ocean waves.
I shut my eyes trying to see your face,
Only to be reminded that I had been forgotten.
I was once a lighthouse bringing you to the shore,
Across the seas helping you through the storm.
Once your boat had been secured,
You moved away and forgot me where I stood.
In return I stayed on the beach shining my light,
Waiting for other lost ones to find their way.
Boat after boat they would all settle in,
But my mind was on the one that had forgotten where I’d been.
Days and years had passed,
For my clock had been set.
For I would stand on the rocks,
All too easy to forget.
Night after night my light would shine bright,
Bringing the weary peace in each dark fight.
In the storms that would rage,
I never once swayed.
For the place where I stood,
Was where I would stay.
Oh how I wondered if you remembered my light,
The importance of my place in your life.
For once I had a purpose to show you the way,
But all I have now is the haunting memory of that day.

The beauty that was instilled around,
Was magic encompassed in a bottle,
Only for her eyes to behold.
For she heard the fateful whispers of the wind,
That would make her feel alive,
And once again lead her to her destiny.
She would follow the rainbows dancing in the air,
Along the clear blue waters across the land,
Leading to the trail of gloomy darkness where the truth would lie.
She would follow her heart,
Leading her deeper into the new forest air,
Finding the hidden path in the moonlit sky.
Along the way she would cross the swords of their tongues,
Battered by the wounds of their stinging words,
Igniting her fight to free those entrapped in their beliefs.
For the beauty of the world was never as clear,
As the road that she has to travel for freedom,
The road without fear.

In the dead of night,
He lies awake counting the stars.
Forever shrouded in the guilt,
Of the life he left behind.
He retraces the steps one by one,
Denying the hollow feeling he finds in each.
The feeling of a dream he once had,
An unknown world at his fingertips.
Bright snippets flash through his mind,
Unrecognizable memories of his own lies.
Like a caged bird he flinches,
A prisoner of his own guilt he cries.
Choosing to deny the existence of his heartache,
He makes peace with his now perfectly forged life.

She was understated,
Understated in the most obvious way,
Contradictory as it is, it was the truth.
She wanted to find the missing colors,
The colors that made the black and white seem dull.
But somehow the rainbow of existence that she once saw,
Had evaporated into a million colorless particles of shadows.
She knew It wasn’t the end,
It was the very beginning of her world full of wonder.
The wonder that would inch her closer to greatness,
The wonder that would inch her closer to her dream.
She held her breath and opened her eyes,
Escaping from the black and white prison, she had inflicted upon herself.
Accepting that all the beauty she once dreamed to see,
Was in her, all along.

They say that true love comes suddenly,
Souls colliding in the midst of a storm.
Pulling you into a world of unknown,
Where the only thing that makes sense,
Is the inexplicable.
The magic of instant connection,
The chemistry filling your lungs,
Finding every detail filled with perfection.
It will choose you without warning,
Coming without pause.
Uncovering the truth that magic exists,
That love can come without flaws.
It will not bring doubt,
Nor will it ask you to change.
Loving you for every inch of imperfection,
You will know that it’s never been more real.
It will build you up,
It will give you strength.
All the pieces of yourself that were once scattered,
Will be put back together within its gentle whisper.
It will tear down every wall,
Every guard you have set.
Uncovering the deepest revelations,
Revelations of who you want to be.
These souls will know each other,
Recognizing that they had once met,
Developing a sixth sense of emotions that the eye cannot see.
Once these souls have intertwined,
They can never again be apart.
Distance will keep them awake,
Staring into the dark.
Some will try and convince them that it’s all just a dream,
That the truth about soulmates is no more than a bluff.
But these souls will know and feel,
That this kind of love,
Will always be enough.

Standing in the doorway,
Frozen staring at the moon,
Waiting for the tides to change,
To bring on the new.
Afraid of what it may bring,
Closing your eyes with a smile,
Listening for the whisper of change you seek to find.
Listen, breathe, do you remember me?
Don’t remember me with sadness,
Don’t remember me with tears,
Remember me with grace,
Every challenge I made you overcome.
Listen, breathe, do you know who I am?
Remember me for the love,
Remember me for faith,
Remember me for each moment,
That made you feel safe.
Listen, breathe, can you see me?
I'm in your heart,
Awake in your mind,
Tied with the little red string,
For eternity intertwined.
Listen, breathe, can you feel me?
